The University of Alicante is a public, dynamic and innovative institution with an international outreach and a campus that is considered one of the best in Europe. The university is near and well connected to the urban center of Alicante, including its bus and tram lines. Being adjacent to the A7 highway allows for an immediate connection with the national roads network and the Mediterranean corridor, and it also gives a great ease of communication with the Alicante airport. Likewise, a railway halt grants direct access to this means of transport.
Today, University of Alicante offers fifty-two degrees and runs the country’s more prestigious research activities with more than 70 University Departments, research groups and units in Social Sciences, Law, Experimental Sciences, Technological Sciences, Humanities, Education and Health Sciences, as well as the 5 Research Institutes.

FUNDEUN. UNIVERSITY-COMPANY FOUNDATION.
Fundación Empresa Universidad de Alicante, located in the university campus, was constituted in 1989 as a non-profit private institution dedicated to establishing cooperation flow and dialogue between the University and Companies.
Then, with the goal of nurturing relationships between the university and the business worlds, FUNDEUN promotes, on the one hand, innovation, cooperation, transferring of research from University to companies and the creation of companies by the university students and graduates, and on the other hand, the continuous training of professionals and university students and graduates with specialization courses adjusted to the needs of the province’s productive sectors.
UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE’S HIGHER LANGUAGE CENTER
Located in the university campus, it offers courses in Spanish and other languages, besides translation services and congress organization.
The offer of Spanish courses for foreigners is quite varied and adapts to the needs of the students, allowing them to obtain the Spanish as a Foreign Language Diploma (Diploma de Español Lengua Extranjera or DELE) from Cervantes Institute.
Socio-cultural activities and leisure activities are an essential and complementary part of the student life for foreigners in University of Alicante. Numerous activities are organized where Spanish and international students share travels, workshops, courses and other leisure moments.
Additionally, an accomodation service is offered, mainly to international students.
