Public transport

In Alicante, moving on foot is comfortable; distances are short and you can easily go from one place of the city to another.

Alicante has a network of public transport that connects together the most important places in the city and its metropolitan area.

Urban buses.

Alicante has a wide bus network (17 daytime lines and 5 nocturnal lines) which connect every point in the city and the metropolitan area.
There are bus stops in key points: RENFE railroad station, bus station, airport, shopping centers, Plaza de los Luceros, Plaza del Mar, the Central Market…

The timetables are wide. During the weekends, the opening hours are extended until the early morning in some lines, especially those which connect Alicante with the outskirts.

T.R.A.M. Streetcar.

The Alicante streetcar network has several lines connecting the city center with the beach zone (Playa de San Juan, Campello, Benidor, Denía).
Alicante is currently expanding the streetcar network; the next line will be University of Alicante – San Vicente del Raspeig.
